Warm Florida temperatures, minimal winds bright blue skies, and a ton of new fliers and rockets! The almost non-existent winds really emboldened many of our fliers to fly larger motors for higher flights. We had some really nice flights and to my knowledge … lost no rockets. I pulled only one from a tree on the edge of the woods.
We nearly broke the 100 flights ceiling with 97 total flights and 100 motors flown. There are several pics from the day on our Facebook group page.

Welcome to the Orange County 4H Club! Next time give us a heads-up so that we can roll out the red carpet. Welcome also to the Girl Scout TARC team who also came and flew a couple test flights using their prior design. I’m looking forward to your qualification this year!
The Odd'l Rockets Little Green Man parachute is still hanging out on the nearby power ground wire. The bigger rockets using D-F motors gave us some fun. This included Gary D’s Alpha up-size trio from the vintage original Alpha through the Maxi Alpha. Others visible were the Der Big Red Max, several scale birds including a Falcon 9, and the balloon rocket - The Dude - and even a Fliskits Decaffinator Styrofoam cup rocket. Unusual, but fun to watch something a bit out of the ordinary.
My apologies for the ground support issues. I’m having a hard time pinning down where our issues are. Obviously, once we got past the C-Pad ignition problems, the rest of the challenges came down to the normal user related igniter and recovery issues. Well, except for that A3-4T cato and the one stuck to the launch pad. Not that usual, but we were ready for that!
Thanks everybody for your help in setup and tear down. Mike, Chris and Gary for your help with the Launch Control Officer (LCO) post and flight management. Thank you, Tom Tweit, for being there with needed launch supplies.
